Elastic Webbing, seating quality, per full roll (100m)
Elastic webbing of seating quality, to create a sprung sub-seat without having to use serpentine or coil springs.
The webbing is applied from the roll, and tensioned by stapling the end of the roll to the opposite side of a frame. Then, the webbing is pulled as tightly as possible by hand over the frame and stapled there as well. Only after this is the webbing cut. This way, you have the least cutting loss.
PLEASE NOTE: Make sure the furniture or frame is stable and securely positioned on the workbench, to prevent it from tipping towards you during tensioning.
Strap width 6cm.
Roll length 100mtr
Stretch percentage is approx. 30%
Made from polyester with a rubber core
Calculating the required quantity works as follows:
Determine how many straps you want to weave over the frame, and take the total measurement of that.
Subtract 15-20% from this (You will stretch this out, but you also want to retain some of the stretch percentage for the springing effect).
Finally, add approx. 15cm extra (after all, even for the last strap, you need something to hold onto to tension it).
Full roll of 100mtr, 35% discount!
